Curved lightsaber handle anyone? Didn't think so.

Yeah, looks more like Palpatine to me. I thik Dooku would be a little skinnier. I wouldn't, however, take the non-curved lightsaber handle as ruling it out though as this looks to be from a specific fight and lightsabers have a habit of going from person to person in the PT fights.

Still, my guess is Palpatine.

My guess on how it all goes down.

Palpy still dresses in Supreme Chancellor-esque clothes until Mace comes after him, (this figure would be from this scene). Palpy and lil' Ani take the mother out.

With Mace wiped out and his clones tacking care of the Jedi, Palps doesn't feel the need to dress to impress anymore, so he goes to his casual cloaks and hoods.

He still looks nice though, until he meets his lil' buddy Yoda. Palps thinks that he'll just fry his green ass with lightning, but Yoda pushes it back at him, and Yoda pushes back enough until it zaps Palps' face to u-g-l-y.

Mad that his face has been f'ed up, Palpy wips out his lightsaber and wipes the floor with Yoda.

Bail helps Yoda escape. Palps stuck with his facial.

Actually, they just posted new pics over at Galactic Hunter. You can see that his face is already the ugly mug we know and love.

Something to the whole idea of him using the Force to conceal his true appearance?

Well, that clears it up.

Perhaps it's really Dooku, disguised as Palpatine, in order to let Anakin and ObiWan know the true nature of the Chancellor's identity. Sort of a makeshift etch-a-sketch on the go type thing.
