Hunter S. is the goods. I read somewhere that he bought Johnny Depp the customary title of "Colonel" from the Southern Gentleman's Club when they were researching Fear And Loathing just so he could call Depp the Colonel. Madness like that takes time and concerted effort.

I liked Fear and Loathing alot better than Where the Buffalo Roam.

I dont think HST liked the Bill Murray version. He seemed to like working with Johnny Depp and he had a part in making Fear in Loathing so I would have to go with Depp.

True, but I find myself wishing he'd write about his own experiences with the club more instead of all the background. I'm only a hundred pages in, so I'm sure there's more to come.

Yeah, I have it mainly because I'm a huge Gilliam fan. Now that HST is gone, I'll have to finally watch it and listen to his commentary.
