heh - an x-workmate had similiar problems with dell deliveries - he got his laptop two weeks after the date given to him originally... he went off at dell support over the phone while we were all edging him on at work... dell makes a nice product but they cant ship for shit... there is a possibility dell is changing there export sources (thats what they told the guy and happened about 6 months ago)... this is what happens when u outsource to retards... probably.

vignesh = vincent apparently. This isnt even the wholestory. I originally ordered it 27 Nov 04. They sent it to me 10 Dec, but it broke, (screen went bad) So I requested another one. They sent me a REFURBISHED GEN 1 which doesnt even fit the cords I have. I complained and on 3 Jan some fucker name jojy_joseph@dell.com said he would send me a new one. Well I called on 14 Jan and apparently the order that was in production was me sending the crappy Gen 1 Dj back to dell. I almost lost it on the phone. So I then requested my new one on 14 Jan. And we are now today.. Still no DJ.

Should have gotten an iPod. I broke my iPod on the last day of the warranty and they sent me a brand new one, no shipping fees, no questions.

Well, Obi, I just ordered my 40gb iPod Photo on Monday (on Apple's "Special Deals" page for $350) and it's scheduled for delivery tomorrow. It surprised me as they were quoting 3-5 days until they ship, then 3-5 days in transit.

Maybe you should have a look at the store.apple.com "Special Deals" page (look down on the lower right of the page for a link) if you get some $ back from Hell. Don't forget that Apple also offers a student discount.

Well I just broke down and got a iPod photo 40GB from http://www.buy.com/

instead of the apple store. Its cheaper and they dont charge you tax. Also comes with the cradle, case and video cable. Well worth it.

Now I just need to sell my pocket pc.
