So what's the official name for these guys anyway? (Trying to update my archive)

Or are they just known as GG's Bodyguards?

Hell yeah! I've been waiting for another finished shot of these guys. The CG looks really impressive. Thanks anakin2005!

Aren't they officially called IG-100 MagnaGuards?

EDIT: Your personal website is an excellent archive, Zion. I love it. :)

Witness the tenacious bodyguards that flank General Grievous. The tall MagnaGuard droids wield a special electrostaff pole coursing with energy, allowing them to parry lightsaber attacks.

Thanks Hipnotik and Anakin2005.

The problem is that anakin2005/Korriban uses the imageshack thumbnails here at MF while embeding the original sized pic at the JC, so the pic becomes quickly unaccessible due to bandwidth issues.

Anakin2005, perhaps you might just provide a link to the pic at the JC while the thumbnails here? Either that or someone here could just re-host it on imageshack like Hipnotik did. Something to think about since apparently Anakin2005 has a cache of pics.

Yes, some full frontal Grievous promo renders would be awesome!

Would you by any chance have the one where Grievous has his arms split with 4 sabers (3 blue, 1 green), with his cape on.
http://euro.rebelscum.com/euroscum/ukto ... _cat12.jpg <--- you can see it at the bottom in the magnet book.

Looking at the background, I wouldn't say this is in the Invisible Hand from the start of the movie, more like the hithero mysterious Utapau.

*Speculation* Perhaps they are searching for Obi-Wan underground?

Great shot though, the Magnaguards seem altogether more stocky than I had anticipated - and this is a good thing

I think someone else posted this link to your site a while back. But, when I tried to find it a few days ago, it was gone.

Thanks for posting it.

I love the cape draping off his shoulder and around his face. It makes him look a lot more interesting.

Amazing pictures. Less than a month to the trailer. Let's hope that we start to see new pictures on a regular basis.

That and the parellel lined patterns that also appears on Grievous make them uber cool. It's like an unmistakable mark. "Oh shit here come Grievous' boys!" Cyborg pimp bots.

Grievous is cool but maybe a bit overdesigned. These guys are simple and iconic. Plus the Gonzo nose gives them a spooky "Soulless Droid" air.

It's like we're back in sixth grade having orgasms over the Emperor's red guards all over again.

In LOE, Grievous has some really kick ass dialogue and picturing him on the screen with his delivery really got me excited.

If Matt Wood brought the goods, then he'll be a terrific character.
