We were already hacked by someone this morning (we know it wasn't darthy though) so if you could hold off on the whole trolling thing we'd appreciate it.

Oddly enough a sw roleplaying site I mod was also hacked.

Ours wasn't too bad...it didn't very long for the tech guy to get things going again.

How do you know it was hacked?

Somewhere between the boards being inaccessable until our tech guy fixed them and the fact that a bunch of files had been screwed up in the database...we realized we had had a hacker.

It wasn't a simple info gathering hack, it was a "screw up the boards" hack. Luckily, either the guy didn't know what he was doing or didn't want to mess stuff up too badly.

Some guy from Phatooine posted at our site saying their forums were hacked too, and all banned members were promoted to admin.

What guy was this?

Took about thirty seconds to reverse the hack and an additional ten to change the server password. I bet the hacker was like 'huh?'
