Based on his conversation with Anakin regarding his old master it possible that either Palpatine or Plagueis created Anakin from midichlorians and for whatever reason Shmi was used as the vessel to carry him.

Maybe there are others like him around. I remember Lucas saying the prequels would raise additional questions for the OT.

On this board, when people think something is dumb...they say TFN...because most people on TFN are absurd. I mean no offence to anyone here...just stating the fact.
