Revenge of the Sith Camping Out or Lining Up

Postby Jinh Warrior » March 16th 2005 11:22 am

Who's gonna camp in front of the L.A, N.Y. or Toronto cinemas to be among the first to see Revenge of the Sith?

In Holland some friends of mine Organize a Cinema Sleep over, One of two THX capable cinemas here, In Vlissingen to be exact.

It's a two day Star Wars Sabbatical for the third time

Are there any of you guys taking part in such a "Line Up"?

I did the 6 week line in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre for Episodes I & II. This time I'm doing the Los Angeles Charity screening. Might get in line for that 2 or 3 hours ahead of time for the hell of it.

With Episode II, Grauman's Chinese started selling tickets for every showing except for the first one at 12AM on the day tickets went on sale. They didn't start selling tickets for the first showing online until everyone who had been in line at the box office got theirs.

I'll buy my tickets online for the first matinee showing.

It'll be the same movie six hours later at half the price with a smaller crowd and MUCH less BO problems.

On this site you will find some pics of the Norwegian ROTS line-up in Oslo.
http://www.revengeofthesith.tk/

The line-up counts 5 people as it is 32 days left until the tickets here are being put up for sale (May 2) But more will come :)

Me and my GF are heading out there this weekend! :chewbacca:

They're already available for purchase here in the UK -- but my local UCI (in Norwich) doesn't appear to be doing a midnight showing. The earliest they have listed is 10:15 the morning of the 19th.

I shall be there.

Well here in Lucas' hometown of Modesto we still dont know when tickets are going to go on sale. But I will be in line on May 18 after purchasing tickets in advance just like AOTC. They did a midnight show for the last one. The theatre was brand new then. LFL even contracted the 501st to come out. We had a LFL Vader & just about any kind of stormtrooper you can imagine. Royal guards, various Jedi, ROTJ Leia, & plenty of Darth Mauls. All in all with this being the last movie I think we are going to have a good time out there.

Here in San Diego we are trying to organize our own 3-week line...everything was good to go then the mall management where the theater is started dragging their asses, so it may not end up happening.

i just go with some friends to the theater about a month in advance, use the bank card/credit card terminals to get advance tix.

then for the midnight showing, we just show up at the theater at like 7, get in the line, they let us into the theater about 10 and then we kill 2 hours.

never had any problem getting tix for big openings using that method. work for the LOTR, spidermans, matrix, xmen 2, etc.
