. . . that the big huge scar that Vader has in his head in the OT is not visible in any of the Mustafar pix that we have seen thus far.

Is this scar going to explained in Ep. 3?

Not the one on his face - the huge one on the top and back of his head.

Not really. Good pic, yes. Good explanation, no.

Why the hell does every single tiny little thing have to be explained anyway?

For reference, Anakin in RotJ:

Now compare to this:

I am grateful for the pix, don't get me wrong. I am just wondering if we are going to find out how he gets it.

I can't see this injury being inflicted in the graphic novel nor in the regular novel. I haven't heard it mentioned in spoilers either.

It could be one of the last surprises of the film, seeing as everything else has been leaked now.

So why don't we get an explanation about the mole on Obi-Wan's forehead? Where did it go between Episodes 3 and 4??

I hope this is explained somehow in ROTS, or George Lucas is a lying bag of shit.

How is this a surprise? Why is this a question to be asked? Why is this a thread?

C'mon, some of us have been wondering about that scar since 1980 - an explanation is required, I believe.

Come on, it's not that hard to figure out. He gets it during the duel - it isn't there before the duel, and then it's there. Not a difficult concept.

So Obi-Wan, wacks him in the head with a sabre but pulls back before slicing right through his head like a watermelon. Possible, I guess.

Or he scrapes his head on a rock. It could be a lightsaber scar, but it seems more logical that it'd be an actual cut that was so deep it could never heal properly.
