I don't know anything about the site, so if I'm missing some joke here let me know.

Star Wars Script Leak Reveals Controversial Scenes
Friday, March 26, 2004 Posted: 4:50 PM EST (1450 GMT)

LOS ANGELES, California – The shooting script for Star Wars: Episode III, featuring scenes where the character Chewbacca has a speaking role, has been leaked to the Internet.

The script is the first extended look at the last film in the prequel trilogy since production footage made its way onto the Internet last January.

So far the script has made its way onto a few fan websites, but it’s also making its way around the world through all the standard file sharing programs.

The controversial Chewbacca scenes are creating quite a stir in the Star Wars community because the benevolent “fuzz ball” -- as Han Solo calls him -- never had a speaking roll. Instead he was best known for his yowl.

The script reveals that when Han Solo tries to free Chewbacca from a slave planet ruled by the Empire, the Wookiee engages in a fierce battle with the young Anakin Skywalker, who would later become Darth Vader. But before he escapes, Chewbacca’s vocal chords are singed by Anakin’s lightsaber.

A spokeswoman for Lucasfilm said she does not know how the script was leaked.

“We are not happy about it and it is completely illegal,” said the spokeswoman. “If we find a website that posts the script, we will contact our lawyers.”

According to the editor of a major Star Wars fan website who wishes to remain anonymous, even more disturbing are the script notes that describe Chewbacca’s accent.

“The script says Chewbacca should sound – and I quote – sophisticated, witty and urban,” said the editor. “Other notes said he should sound like a cross between Hugh Grant and Samuel L. Jackson.”

The editor says he fears Chewbacca will suffer the same fate as Jar Jar Binks in Episode I. The fun-loving creature was widely criticized for sounding annoying and childish.

“What’s going on in George Lucas’ head," continued the editor. “First he wants to make an animal talk, and then he wants him to sound like a British gangster? I don’t understand.”

Star Wars Episode III opens worldwide on May 25, 2005.

Let's break this thing down:

Extended look? LAST January? It wasn't all THAT extended (from what I've heard, I still haven't seen it), and it was this January.

Well his "yowl" was how he speaks. But seriously--he's a Wookiee. We see Wookiees in TPM as well--and I'm pretty sure they "yowl"ed. Did they have their vocal chords singed too? What about the ones in the EU and the Holiday Special? Huh?

Well, the freeing thing comes strait from the EU. However, I don't recall Chewie battling Anakin/Vader. ;) Also, it has been stated MANY times that Han will not be in the Prequels--since he'd only be about 10 years old, and would serve no purpose.
