[MF] New French Magazine Scans

Postby MandalorianWrath » April 19th 2005 4:43 am

OK this time, the party is really over. The french official magazine released today the Special ROTS issue, with more than 400 images. Obviously most of them are already known, but I decided to make some scans of the new ones, so here they come :

- The Yoda/Sidious fight (new images show Yoda falling down the Senate arena, and Yoda again escaping the building),

- The end of the Anakin / Obi-Wan fight (new images are a shot of Anakin's cut legs while he's sliding down the burning sand, a new shot of his face with yellow eyes, just before he begins to burn, and a shot of Obi-Wan picking up Ani's saber),

- Darth Vader's creation, few new shots including the burnt face of Anakin receiving the infamous mask ...

Hope you'll like it ! Next message will include Padmé being Force-choked by Anakin, Mace Windu trying to resist Palpatine's Sith Lightnings, and Grievous's death in 4 shots !

Let me know if any link is broken. The next images should arrive in less than one hour.

Death of Grievous

Mace Windu versus Palpatine

Padmé being Force-Choked by Anakin + two little shots of Obi-Wan getting out of Padme's ship and Padme and Anakin talking

Some new shots of the action in the Invisible Hand

Obi-Wan's starfighter on its way to Utapau

Don't know if this one is really new or not, we've seen quite a bunch of pics similar to this one, but at first sight I didn't recognize it, so here it is anyway : Anakin in his starfighter

Escape of Grievous in the Invisible Hand, only three of the four little pics on the right are new

The little shot in the top left hand corner is new ... Padme waiting as Anakin and Bail Organa have a chat immediately after the Invisible Hand crash. Then we have a slightly different shot of Anakin waking up after his nightmare, and ultimately Anakin and Padme kissing near Ani's new starfighter after he came to tell her Jedi were now traitors. The other pics all look old to me

Coruscant Opera : a promo shot of one of the ballet dancers, and a pic of Anakin and Palpatine ...

The hunt for Grievous. Only two thumbnails are new, but still ...

Palpatine putting the hood on

Order 66. A wider shot of Palpatine giving the order to a clone commander, a new shot of Yoda on Kashyyyk with Commander Gree on his side, a promo shoot of a Clone riding one of those strange Felucia Larvae-like steeds, and a new shot of Bail trying to gain entrance to the Jedi Temple before two clone troopers.

New shot (?) of Obi-Wan watching the recording of Anakin's grim actions, and a shot of a speeder arriving at Padme's appartment (I guess it's the one carrying Obi-Wan when he seeks her help to find Anakin and bring him back)

wider shot of Obi-Wan and Yoda in the Jedi Communication Room, and new shot of Anakin waving at something (possibly the control panel of Mustafar HQ's door to be sure no Separatist will escape, but the background doesn't look like Mustafar ...

OK I already talked about this one, it's the second part of the picture on which Padme is Force-Choked.

Sidious with lightsaber, and some thumbnails of the fight with Yoda, but I think they're all old or slightly different shot of pictures already known

New shot of the Duel. To me at least ...

Death of Grievous

Mace Windu versus Palpatine

Padmé being Force-Choked by Anakin + two little shots of Obi-Wan getting out of Padme's ship and Padme and Anakin talking

The shot of Padme being Force-Choked is actually a double-page, the second part only showing Anakin's arm raised in Padme's direction, I thought it was not one of the most relevant shot to show you, but it will be in a yet-to-come message.

I don't know what I'll put in next message, so stay tuned

Hum well ... most of the other pictures are the size of a thumbnail unfortunately ... but I will post them sooner or later, there must be like 10 or 15 of them.

The next message will include 2 new shots of the Invisible Hand action (Anakin and Obi-Wan facing Droidekas, and Obi-Wan lying unconscious under a big piece of the balcony Dooku dropped on him), and a shot of Obi-Wan's starfighter leaving for Utapau.

Are there any shots from the CW Worlds (Kashyyyk, Mygeeto, Felucia, etc ...)

Yes. I scanned them and they're on their way to my computer (btw, that's the reason I'm slow to post, I have to go scan the files on a comp, then send them on my own one, which takes a lot of time).

OK, here are the two pics I mentioned above :

Some new shots of the action in the Invisible Hand

Obi-Wan's starfighter on its way to Utapau

mmm yeah, but none is new (those are the shot of Palpatine facing the fout Jedi with his lightsaber in hand, Windu breaking the window while fighting Sidious, and a promo shot of Fisto).

Just give me some time to scan it / send it to my comp / upload it, and I'll post it here.

Death of Grievous

Emperor Palpatine (Hood)

Vader Transformation

Palpatine/Jedi

Duel on Scaffolding

Hunt for Grievous

Obi-Wan -- Grim Discovery

Order 66

Palpatine v Yoda

Palpatine v Yoda II

Grievous Escape

Coruscant Opera

Destruction of Anakin

LOL. I almost dropped my bacon sarnie the first time I saw it.
It's just wrong.

Lucas: "We need some sexy dancers for the opera scene - remember Oola?"
Church (or Fu or whoever): "I always had this vision of 'Admirable' Ackbar - but with, like, a female body."
Lucas (walking away): "Heh - nice one - I'm sure you'll come up with something, though..."
Church: "...but... I was... serious....."

They make sense if you want to save some bucks on installing Hyperdrives on smaller craft, just hook them up if they need to travel far.

Someone noticed that in the secuence of photos of grievous death, in the first 2 images grievous has cut off his left arm and in the third magically his left arm appeared. i hope they have corrected this error in the final instalment of the movie. BTW great photos.

No, it´s there in the first two, he´s just got his hand closer to his shoulder. You can see the fingers next to his face.

Anakin's burning is probably The Immolation Scene on the sountrack. Duh.
As for when he's getting the suit, we all have to wait for the movie to find out.

I hate to say this and may come off as a bitch doing so, but I don't care for Anakin's choking gesture. Surely if Hayden was watching the OT as continuously as he stated, he would have noticed that Prowse only used his thumb, index, and middle finger when performing the force choke. Oh well. Can't win them all.

OK guys, here are the last ones, quite small and low quality, and definitely not as important as the ones revealed yesterday, but I'm sure there's a couple of pic-addicts lurking around here who will enjoy them as well ...

Some Space Battle action seen from Anakin's cockpit

Anakin in Palpatine's office

After the Invisible Hand crashes, Windu attempts to discuss the end of the war with Palpatine ... vainly

Anakin in his starfighter

Anakin entering Palpatine's antechamber, Anakin and Obi-Wan in the Invisible Hand hangar, Anakin waking up from his dream

Padme lying in her cruiser after Anakin's Force-Choke

Padme dying while giving birth

Palpatine, lightsaber ignited, faces the Jedi fearlessly

Sidious watches as his apprentice is rebuilt before him

Anakin, Obi-Wan, R2 and Palpatine in Invisible Hand cockpit, trying to fly that thing to safety

Obi-Wan watching as Medics and Polis Massans try to bring Padme back to life, Obi-Wan and Anakin versus Dooku, Obi-Wan in his starfighter, and Anakin and Obi-Wan in the Invisible Hand

Mace Windu struggling to avoid Palpatine's lightnings

Dooku and Dooku facing Obi-Wan and Anakin

R2 in the INvisible Hand hangar

R2 in Invisible Hand cockpit, with Battle droids in the background

Troopers on Kashyyyk

Grievous in the Invisible Hand cockpit

Grievous firing at Obi-Wan with his blaster, and yet another shot of Grievous in the Invisible Hand cockpit

Who said "There is no pain, there is the Force" ? Saesee Tinn suffers from a deadly slash from Palpatine

Some Jedi : Ki-Adi Mundi and Aayla Secura, bluer than ever, reporting to the Council, and 3 council shots, including one with Anakin

Fleeing from Utapau, Obi-Wan manages to communicate with Bail Organa via hologram

The Butcher Droids are at work ... And Anakin gets a new arm

Obi-Wan prepares to face Grievous in the Invisible Hand cockpit

R2 tries to hide as Super Battledroids enter the hangar of the Invisible Hand

Anakin realizes he just killed Mace Windu and thus chose his side

OK that's all ... Hope you will enjoy them. Let me know if any link is broken.

Looks like you enjoy Clone Troopers pics ... If you give me some time to scan it / send it to my comp / upload it I'll post the double-page about Clone Troopers here. There are promo pics of Shocktrooper, Clone Pilot, Commander Baccara, Commander Gree, Swoop-Bike rider and another kind of trooper I had never seen before on it, plus a bust-shot of a white & yellow trooper.

Stay tuned ;)
