Alot of the 3rd party hardware is incredibly cheap and very slow. Not only is it prone to random corruption but the clockrate on shit memory makes some games un-able to save. E.G. Burnout 2 on the GC. is a very popular example of the universal failings of cheap memory cards.

dude i had the same problem! u don't click or press or whatever on the games icon, u have to hit right and click on the actual little files WITHIN that game, trust me that works, it has nothign to do with being 3rd party.
