Bai Ling's part has been cut from the movie. There are others who have been cut as well.

Lucasfilm has stated her part was cut a year ago.

Bai Ling has been quoted saying she thinks the Playboy feature is the reason for the cut.

Playboy's Vice President of Public Relations Lauren Melone has said: "We have no reason whatsoever to believe Bai Ling’s scenes were cut out of the movie due to her appearance in Playboy magazine."

"Regarding our issue, we have a “real” collector’s issue on our hands and Star Wars fans can catch in our issue what they are missing in the movie."

Hope it's not true they cut her due to this. Other Star Wars actors have done racy things, so I really doubt it.

Actually, I'm sure Playboy thought about the legal ramifications of using a lightsaber, and I'm sure that the way they've presented it circumvents any trademark issues.

George Lucas is not a prude. He knows that many of the actors/actresses he uses in these films have done some steamier stuff (look at Hayden in "Life as a House"). And, honestly, I think in some ways, LFL/Lucas might think this is perfect because ROTS is being perceived as a more adult film, this cements it.

Besides, Playboy is not on the same level as Hustler when it comes to nudie mags. It's generally perceived as a decent magazine and used to have great articles. I recently subscribed and the articles suck now so I cancelled my subscription. Playboy has launched the careers of many well-known writers and even people who have appeared in pictorials.

The scenes cut are the "birth of the Rebellion" stuff - the Delegation of 2000, etc. Both Katie Lucas and Bai Ling played senators in them. Fang Zhar was in these scenes as well, so I assume he's gone as well, unless he shows up in the group that receives Palpatine after his rescue.

I happened to catch Access Hollywood yesterday, just as the post above says, It briefly talked about the Bai Ling thing, Lucas said Playboy had nothing to do with him removing the scene, and admitted he cut two scenes that had both his daughters in them.
