With that, here is my in depth review of Episode III.
omg
Commence discussion.

CoGro wrote:The delivery is fine. I expected a different 'Noo', but I wasn't like 'Oh this sucks'. If you've seen the Energizer Bunny/Vader commercial from like the 80s, that's what I expected (The saber fizzles out and JEJ yells 'NOOO'). It's more shallow in the film I think.
CoGro wrote:Yeah, the birth of Vader scene.
It works. It works well. It's one of those saga moments for sure.
this exhange is worth note:
I ask: "What about the Yoda/Sidious fight? How does it play out? Is this not the most exciting duel of the movie?"
answer: "This is really something that fans should know nothing about going in, except what they've already seen and heard. I don't want to hype it up, it's one of the many great surprises the film has to offer."
I ask: "What was the 'booming line' JEJ said that stuck out in your mind?"
answer: "something along the lines of 'I don't fear the dark side of the force, I embrace it.'
Yes. JEJ does the voice.
Jar Jar is back of course, but what's left of his role is about a half a page of dialogue and standing around during the Rebllion and senate scenes.

Read a book.. or go play kickball or something.
Phod wrote:No, I was referring to when he posted in March that a friend emailed him a review of Sith.. I just found it via the search function and it's so off-base, it's amusing.*snip* *snip* etc.
CoGro wrote:I've had the option open for more than a week now to see it via a marketing rep. I didn't actually want to go because I wanted the first time excitement of opening night, but I caved.
I was talking with FB about that scene yesterday, and for some reason I remember hearing the Imperial theme from ANH being played in some form. I did watch ANH right after, so my mind could be playing tricks on me but for some reason I'm picturing the reveal of the skeleton Death Star with that cue. Either way, the march plays and it isn't the AOTC version.
Chilly wrote:he didnt say the imperial march
Moff_Diver wrote:not to jack the thread but i think they should but the imperial march somewhere in ANH. it's the only film that doesn't have it.

I have a couple of questions for you CoGro:
1. How was the opening shot with the Star Destroyer and the jedi fighters flighing through the battle?
2. How was Yodas CGI work this time around? Any laughable moments with him?
3. And if you rated this film out of 10(with 10 being the best), what would you give it?
What is padm'es death scene like? Is it well acted?and is her funeral very long?
Were any of the Teranian reports rendered true? I mean I really want to see Qui-gonn in this damn thing.
Regarding the Council scene when Anikan is appointed on the council without being a master.... hows the flip out? "does he scream "I am more porwerful then any of you!!!"
How is the slaughter of the Sepratists? any great one liners like we read in the teranian reports? I kinda liked some of that vader humour.
Also how is the slaughter at the temple and the jedi?
was this film everything you wanted it to be and will it bring back the OT fans? thanks for your replies!
So how does that shot of Anakin turning toward the camera with yellow sith eyes from the teaser come to play?
Does Obi-Wan do anything redeeming in the Dooku fight or does he get bitch slapped the whole time.
That being said...does it make it harder to believe he could take of Vader.
Does the GG fight rehab him enough to make him seem like a legit force?
