There are no mythological ties with star wars. There is no relation between george bush`s foreign policy/career with that of the star wars universe. remember, the story was written before, in the early seventies.

The star wars universe is based on the IIIrd Reich in germany. Where did he get his ideas to create soldiers named stromtroopers= duh, the brown-shirts, the SA.
Alot of the cinematic shots used in episode IV ANH were copied from footage taken in american bombers.

The ressemblance really stands out after reading episode III`s script. The part where palpatine declares himself emperor as everyone applauds and receive the news of the New Galactic Empire with much Enthusiasm! This reminds me a lot of the ending of the Weimar republic in its final phase in 1932-33. Hitler did the same kind of thing and germans were very happy to have him as new chancellor and move the country into a dictatorship. And all these means reached by a democratic process.

What you do is create a fear and the nation will follow a leader anywhere. Just like how Darth Sidous created the whole clone wars.

on a personal note, i want to add the the emperor in this movie is going to be the coolest. And also, will dark anakin shoot thunderbolts from his hands, like they make his character do in the episode III game?

yeah... George doesn't seem to be the kind of guy that did weed, even if it was in the 70s. I bet everyone else around him doing the movie was getting high, though!
