This thread was posted previously in the Rage Against MF thread - which was also posted in the month of August - two years ago.
Given that it is 2012, the end is near for MF, or at least this incarnation of it. Which leads into the next point "fresh blood" ... registration was shut down since last winter because of spambots and database issues. What will probably happen is the latest PHPBB copy will replace this custom version of old PHPBB, so registration can be reopened.
In terms of content we were dealt blows with Megaupload and now Demonoid.
The beginning of the year saw Darth Maul 3D, Darth Maul Clone Wars and looking forward to Avengers and Dark Knight Massacre.
Unfortunately, for the rest of the year the only thing we have to look forward to is "The Hobbit". |

MF is in my bookmarks bar so I usually click in every other day or so.
As far as Star Wars, and movies in general, are concerned, there really is not a lot to be excited about. I've given up on Clone Wars, and since they're losing a prime TV spot, apparently so have others. Star Wars Squishies "Detours!!!" is the epitome of Lucas' mindset. The great man that he once was died in 1980.
The live action series will never happen unless invested in by an HBO or a Netflix.
I've sold off my hundreds of action figures for a few thousand dollars. The $10 price gouge and lack of available product killed my interest. In fact the only Star Wars collectible I have is the eFX Legend edition Darth Vader helmet.
As for da , Kaskus forums is the place for Star Wars comics these days. I don't read them often any more.
I don't bother with cams because there's nothing I MUST see. I'll get HD blu-ray rips periodically; they've become the only way I'll enjoy my piracy.
The franchises of the 2000's are done. LotR, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Batman, Pirates. Movies have gone to shit these past years. The Hobbit has been turned into a three-movie cash grab. I'll always lament the fact that we could have had an amazing del Toro fantasy film. Now we have the... Avengers? The fuck I care, I don't even know half their names.
So bitch and moan aside, I'll still be here for MF 2.0 |

I will continue bitching and moaning as a primary activity well into MF V 2.0
My summer has been an ass-kicker, though. For example, I get paid every two weeks, and my last check I had 119 hours. And I have 5 classes this semester. Yikes.
So I post when I can, but I'm basically useless, disposable color-commentary. Carry on. |

| You were useless well before your 130032 hours. |

I am unusable. Not useless. There is a difference.
Although, your reported hours (130032) would add up to apx 14 years, at which age I indeed was entirely useless. So maybe youre on to something. |

Personally, I just can't look at it. Its too cute. I keep waiting for the one where they end up on the island of misfit toys and sing and shit.
I intend to give it a shot, though. Some day. But I haven't gotten the urge just yet. I think subconciously I'm waiting until I'm "too old to engage in sexual activity".
Good lawd I hope I never get to watch that show. |

I guess we need MFV2 more than ever now. With under three years until release, this new movie must either be smaller in scope or they're further along than they've let on. A directorial announcement has to be imminent. And then... spoilers! Buildup! It's all about the journey not the end!
A new Star Wars trilogy. Episode Fucking 7. I just need to say that a few more times to believe it. |

That's pretty much how I've viewed stuff too, I never thought these films were even going to be made and now that they are I'm quite prepared to see what's thrown my way. I didnt like everything the Prequels did but I appreciated they were Lucas' vision and can look past the awful (Jar Jar) to love the good (most of ROTS really!)
Isn't this the boost MF.com was after? This place was always the hub of all decent info on the Prequels, cannot wait to read the next generation of spoilers and rumours on here.
